Privacy Policy
This policy explains how EMWEE (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit emwee.co, contact us, or book a call through links on our website.
1. Who we are
EMWEE is a product engineering studio. We design and build software, AI systems, IoT platforms, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity solutions for clients. This Privacy Policy applies to our public website and the ways we handle information through that site.
It does not replace contracts, statements of work, or separate privacy terms that may apply when you become a client or when we process data on your behalf as a service provider. Those arrangements are governed by your agreement with us.
Contact: hello@emwee.co
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide to us
When you use our contact form, email us, or otherwise reach out, we may collect:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Company name (optional)
- Indicative project budget range
- Message content and any other details you choose to include
- A CAPTCHA response used only to verify that the submission is not automated abuse
Please do not send sensitive personal data (such as government ID numbers, health information, or payment card details) through the contact form unless we explicitly ask for it.
2.2 Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our servers and hosting environment may automatically record technical information when you visit, such as:
- IP address (often truncated or aggregated in logs)
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages viewed, referring URL, and approximate access time
- General diagnostic and security log data
We use this information to operate, secure, and improve the site — not to build advertising profiles. At the time of this policy, we do not run third-party advertising or behavioural analytics trackers on emwee.co.
2.3 Third-party booking and social links
Our site links to external services, including Google Calendar for scheduling intro calls and social networks (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, GitHub). If you follow those links, the third party’s own privacy policy applies. We do not receive your calendar or social account data unless you separately share it with us (for example, by emailing us after a call).
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to enquiries and evaluate potential projects
- Communicate with you about our services
- Operate, maintain, and protect our website
- Detect spam, abuse, or security incidents (including CAPTCHA)
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
- Keep limited internal records for business administration and continuity
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use contact form data for unrelated direct marketing without a lawful basis and, where required, your consent.
5. International transfers
EMWEE works with clients and providers internationally. Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including where our hosting or email providers operate. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms) for cross-border transfers.
6. How long we keep information
- Contact enquiries: typically up to 24 months after our last meaningful interaction, unless a longer period is needed for an active opportunity, contract, or legal claim
- Client project data: governed by your contract and handover terms, not this website policy alone
- Server logs: retained for a limited period appropriate for security and troubleshooting, then deleted or aggregated
We may retain information longer when required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce agreements.
7. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the data we hold — including access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS), and careful handling of enquiry content. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us at hello@emwee.co promptly.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, and to data portability or withdrawal of consent where processing is consent-based.
You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern.
To exercise your rights, email hello@emwee.co with enough detail for us to verify your request. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.
9. Children
Our website and services are directed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
12. General notice
This document is provided for transparency about our website practices. It is not legal advice. If you need advice for your specific situation, please consult a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction.
